Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at this client, you will work on a self-service cloud platform that allows technology teams to manage and deploy their own cloud resources, from compute instances to Kubernetes or Kafka clusters. Of course, everything used in production is used as infrastructure as code. The solutions you deliver are scalable and designed for high availability. You eliminate constant toil so you can spend more time on development and innovation. To succeed in this environment, you must be highly motivated. What will you do?    

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in both AWS and GCP;

• Design, implement and maintain Kafka environments both in the cloud and on-premises.

This also includes improving the functionality, scalability, availability and efficiency of the self-service cloud platform: 

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines;

• Add new services and enhancements to the platform;   

• Automate operations;   

• Design policies for platform pillars such as security and cost management;   

• Improve cloud data across the enterprise by sharing best practices and deploying teams;   

• Providing mentorship and supervision of less experienced colleagues.   

Required for your success   

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent;   

• 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer or Cloud Engineer;   

• Extensive experience with GCP or AWS;  

• Kafka; 

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Terraform;   

• Extensive knowledge of Linux;   

• Understanding and hands-on experience in designing and implementing distributed and scalable system architecture;   

• Market focused on financial dynamics;   

• Working experience in CI/CD settings;   

• Solid work experience for us across TCP/IP, Routing, Switch and Multicast;   

• Programming experience in Python, Bash, Ruby or in Golang.
